I bought eight sets of these candles - they are almost perfect for the bedroom and living room. At the same time, they look realistic, but cast harsh circles of light on the ceiling. This is when you know the candles are fake. To get around this, I bought thin sheets of semi-rigid plastic that are 90% transparent. I then cut out 3 inch circles and place each one on top of each candle. An opacity of 10% softens the cast light and the candles now look very realistic. If I were a manufacturer I would include 3 inch lids for them. Another thing I wish you could reduce the flicker speed is too fast.
