🌪️ High-quality Replacement Wick Filters for Vornado Evaporative Humidifiers - Flintar MD1-0034 (4-Pack) Review

COMPLETE WASTE! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. I tried these wicks after using a pair of Vornado/brand wicks. I was hoping they would last a little longer instead of having to be replaced every 2-3 months. I found they never worked as well as Vornado and FAILED COMPLETELY after a week or two. At first only 1/4 of the moisture was absorbed, and after a week or two the moisture wasn't absorbed and the humidifier stopped supplying water.

They're a little better than the brand name but that's not saying much. In my Evap 2, which I use all the time, they dry out after a few weeks, which is about the same as popular brands. I just bought another bag for the whole season, but next year I will be buying a new humidifier that doesn't use this type of wick. Also, the price has gone up. They used to be cheaper than branded ones, but now they're almost the same. Having to constantly replace them is a significant expense.

Using this element in the Vornado humidifier is practically useless. The fit is poor and the moisture wicking just doesn't work. Water goes somewhere, but it doesn't register as high humidity. Back to the original Vornado wicks which, although more expensive, actually work, fit my car and most importantly add moisture. With Vornado wicks you can easily get to 60%, more than 50% is difficult to achieve with them. I wouldn't bother unless you only want 45-50% and your machine is running all the…

These wicks don't seem to absorb as much moisture as the Vornado wicks that came with my humidifier (model Evap40). I had to use the humidifier at high speed to get the same humidity I usually get at a medium setting with branded wicks. I bought a few of these thinking they would be comparable to the brand name. I have had 2 Vornado EV100 humidifiers for a few years now (love them and they work great). I have experimented with genuine Vornado evaporative filters and have also purchased and used these Flintar filters multiple times (4 Flintar filters to be exact).
