FLOOD PPG FLD6 04 Floetrol Additive Review

I used this for an acrylic fill. I'm new to this and was a little worried I would just make a big mess and waste a lot of product. I love it! My family fights for my work! I can't wait to do more.

I am very happy with using Floetrol as a base for my acrylic cast. I have used glue before and Floetrol was much easier to use and improved the quality. I am very happy with the result and will continue to use it.

I use this as filler in fine art and it's SO AMAZING. Not only does it work better than paint pot products, it's also much cheaper than artificial products. Mesh or nylon around the hole before filling it. Sometimes threads form in the liquid, and there's nothing sadder than casting a really nice design, only to have a thread of that material plop right in the middle.

I had never heard of this product until a friend brought it to my attention through her acrylic inkjet painting creations. At a 1:1 ratio (Floetrol to Acrylic) you get an excellent base for acrylic castings. Floetrol has a low odor and should be used in areas with some ventilation. Its creamy white texture flows best at 70+ degrees and the bottle should be shaken for 1-2 minutes before use. I buy this stuff all the time to get my acrylics flowing, but I usually buy it from my local hardware giant. I shake it and cock it because I'm told to, but I've never seen what artists call "Floeggers" or Floetrol Boogers. To save time and effort I ordered from Revain and WOW! I have been using this product for years and don't want to be without it. I use it with latex paint when painting artificial surfaces like wood or marble textures etc, when painting furniture or when painting walls with heavy flowing paint.
