Shoes look good. Was tight at first and had to crack a bit

Shoes look good. At first they were tight and needed a bit of buckling, but once they loosened up I really liked them until after just two months one of the tassels came loose. I have owned Florsheim's several times and loved them. They've usually lasted so long that I've replaced them with soles a couple of times, so I've decided to go back to them, but I'm disappointed this time.

Pros
  • That wasn't that exciting. I ordered the shoes and received the shoes.
Cons
  • Too large. Will send back.

Looks great but very stiff out of the box

They look great but they are very stiff out of the box. Make sure you have shoe lasts and thick socks and are prepared for pain. When I first tried them on (size 13) they dug horribly into my outer knuckles. After about 3 socks and some work with the skin, they get used to it and don't feel bad.

Pros
  • fits well
Cons
  • The tassels broke in the first three months....

How to hack these gorgeous Broncos

I have a pair of Brinson boots and a pair of Lexington loafers (same but without the vamp strap). It's much better to look good than to feel good. If you know what I mean! These certainly aren't the most comfortable of loafers, but the initial insane stiffness is only temporary. I wear 10D and they fit true to size. They are very tough at the beginning. The first day of wearing there was unbearable pressure on the top of the arch of the foot. I started researching and experimenting on how to…

Pros
  • shoes under the dress. Exactly what I needed
Cons
  • Poor durability

Terrible quality in my opinion

Florsheim used to be great shoes when they were made in USA (Chicago) but now they are made in China with terrible quality. They're shiny, great but terrible quality, and won't last as long as old Florsheim. I bought a pair of these 10 years ago when they were genuine and not junk. Unfortunately disappointed.

Pros
  • No problem
Cons
  • I have a high instep so these shoes were too high in the front, I couldn't even put them on.

Good buy in my rating

Nice shoes. Fits as expected. Really tough to start with. Must "roll". But happy with the purchase. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Great shoes. I've been buying this style for years.
Cons
  • Florsheim shoes were a sign of perfection, now they're crappy and poorly made. I would recommend you to look elsewhere.

These shoes are exactly what I needed! The outsole makes them an even better option for wet weather! Turns out half a size bigger, but still fits great! I love color! A great option for dress pants of a dark color other than black! Also the perfect way to expand your shoe closet!

Pros
  • Shoes are true to size
Cons
  • My return was almost impossible

Hard but beautiful - my new review

Very good but a bit stiff but I think they will probably wear out over time. Unfortunately, I only wear these modern pieces on special occasions, which are very rare.

Pros
  • These broke quickly. My husband has a wide foot and she has a hard time fitting it. It was perfect!
Cons
  • a little big and very hard. Must be rolled. After wearing them for the first time, my feet hurt more than I can tell.

Don't even look at these

These were the worst shoes I've ever owned. After trying to put them on a couple of times, I threw them away. I wouldn't even donate them as a gesture of goodwill because I wouldn't wish them on anyone. The skin was hard as stone and wouldn't relax no matter what I did to it. Every time I put them on I started limping after an hour!

Pros
  • Exactly what I was looking for!!
Cons
  • The skin is very hard, the side of the foot hurts. breaks badly

Wrong shoes.

I've been wearing Florsheim shoes since the 1980s. These are the worst shoes I have ever bought from them. Even after a year, I have trouble getting my feet into a shoehorn. The skin never seems to give or conform to your feet. Wouldn't buy them again.

Pros
  • Nothing, my husband loved them!
Cons
  • Just received two hours ago; tried - doesn't fit. Plan your return

I think the shoes work great

These shoes run a little big. I wear a size 10 and have an extensive collection of classic shoes. I think the exact shoe size is about 10 1/4, not 10 1/2.

Pros
  • love this style...need cordovan and brown to be available...
Cons
  • Nice looking shoe, but not only was it too tight, I couldn't even put my foot in it... not even with a shoehorn.

Perfect fit for me

Beautiful shoes, well made and fit perfectly. My sleeves are 10.5M and some of his boots damaged his ties but the sizing didn't work. After a lot of shopping and returning, I remembered that my father would drive 2 hours to buy Florsheim. now i know why

Pros
  • I always buy them very wide, but this time they were unusually wide. Otherwise it's a great shoe.
Cons
  • The skin is very hard. It takes a lot of strength to break them. It hurts too much to carry my legs. I regret buying them.

Shoes fit well when I put them on

The shoes fit well once I put them on but my god it's difficult and a bit painful to put on. The skin is also very hard. That's my review.

Pros
  • Good boot. A little wide for a medium size, but that's not a problem.
Cons
  • Nice looking shoes but made out of the toughest and most inflexible leather I've ever seen apart from a gun holster.

But they hold up great and look fantastic until the end.

This is my third pair of these shoes, I am very strict with them. But they hold up great and look fantastic until the end. I still have an old pair, I can even make them new.

Pros
  • Great quality, excellent value for a shoe market that seems out of control for top brands.
Cons
  • Nice looking shoe but I couldn't even get my foot in. Skin too hard on top.

Real or not in my rating

I don't think the shoes were real Florsheim. I have had shoes for years and compared them to the ones I have, they were clearly not identical. I would be very skeptical about buying this type of shoes online at this price. there must be a reason for this

Pros
  • Return, wrong color
Cons
  • TERRIBLE FIT AND DESIGN. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. The outer edge cut into the skin. Both tassels fell out trying to wear them twice.

Great shoes good for me

My last pair lasted several decades. I hope the same from these. The main difference is the rubber outsole. The last pair was leather which, as expected, has had to be replaced several times over the years.

Pros
  • My shoes fit. I wear these shoes like classic pumps, but with tassels. Thanks.
Cons
  • The heel fell off the first time I put it on. I glued it back on and it stays. I don't know how long they will last.

Looks good, but I still won't buy it again.

For the price it's a bargain, $40 a little more than looks, the leather is stiff and although it's a bit big the shoe is uncomfortable, looks good but I won't buy it again despite the price.

Pros
  • Great shoes
Cons
  • I order this pair of shoes for my husband, he said it was very uncomfortable and very painful and he didn't want to wear it

Wrong width on loafers and loafers

I've always had a "D" width but it got too narrow with age. I wanted to go a little wider so I chose "E" but they sent me "E-3" and it was so lost it didn't work at all. I was able to return it and get a refund but am still disappointed that there isn't another option for a comfortable fit. The other problem with Florsheim shoes is that they ALWAYS sell out in my size. You would think that they would find out more people needed these sizes and make them bigger. Thank you for thinking of ME…

Pros
  • CARE: Easy to clean, simply wipe with a soft damp cloth.
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

Completely unsuitable shoes. Beware of the high tongue!

After reading the reviews here and on other sites, despite the comments on the stiffness, like others who have owned Florsheim shoes for many years, I decided to order them anyway. And like many writers, I own and wear many types of shoes, ranging from expensive to budget, depending on the need and use of the shoe, and I generally find Flshm shoes on the higher end of the line. But compared to Cole-Haan, Johnston/Murphy, Allen-Edmunds, or even Bass or Timberland. Unfortunately it was a joke…

Pros
  • CLASSIC STYLE: Beef Roll penny loafers made from real handmade moccasins.
Cons
  • Concerns me

Good shoe but wears out too quickly

This was my first review shortly after I bought the shoes in July 2014: These shoes are comfortable and fit well. They are never too tight and shrink well after a few days of wear. I am updating them now (January 2015) because the leather on the outside of the shoe where they flex when walking is already tearing badly. . I bought them in July, now it's January next year, so I only have to wear them for about six months. It seems to me that I just broke them and they already need to be replaced.

Pros
  • COMFORT: Unlined shoe, fully padded and non-removable insole.
Cons
  • Secret

Now I know how women feel about shoe pain.

The top is very tight. I mean it's hard just to put your foot in a shoe and you need a shoehorn to close a deal. But I love the style and hopefully with a small donation I can stretch them enough to wear to formal occasions. It's not like I have super high arches. Just the opposite. I usually put orthotics in my shoes. They don't fit in these Florsheimers (and leave enough room for my legs). buyer? Beware! And if you click on these shoes, be prepared to return them. Too bad Boston doesn't make…

Pros
  • Shaft height about below the arch
Cons
  • Too long to wait
