Works well but I expected more

I decided to try these thread holders as an alternative to numb fingers. My teeth are close together and I have a small mouth. I only use thread like Glide. The two biggest issues with these thread holders are 1) the two arms are too far apart and 2) no matter how many times I wrap the thread around the wheel and even keep it in place. I run my finger next to the wheel, there's always play. #2 Connection #1. The slight sagging, combined with my arms being wide apart, means I'm constantly…

Buy 4 because you will need them all at some point.

The teeth are closed, the mouth is small, which has always made using ordinary dental floss almost impossible. My dentist gave me one and it worked great for my situation. You must use unwaxed thread as waxed thread will slip out of the crown. But plastic breaks from wear and tear after about a year of use. None of the popular pharmacies in the Detroit area carry this item. So it's smart to buy four of these when you find them, as you'll end up using them all. In fact, last time I bought 3 and…

Durable, convenient, economical, less waste.

I almost sent them back as I didn't expect them to be so big. I used a different floss as a kid and wanted the same for my kids. It was almost three times the size of the cubes I remember as a kid. If you can comfortably put the spoon in your mouth, that's very good. I floss less when I use it, and because it's easy, we all floss every night like we should. We use waxed thread - 1/4 of the way, I adjust the thread because it's slack but it doesn't matter, just unwrap it and then twist it back…

Dentist comparison: Flossaid is cheaper

There is Flossaid and GUM Flossmate. I've tried both and both make flossing easier. GUM Flossmate will eventually break after a few years of use. I'm not sure about the shelf life of Flossaid. GUM Flossmate makes loading the filament easier, but doesn't hold the filament as tightly as Flossaid. I like the length of the Flossaid grip but it's too flimsy. The GUM Flossmate has a thicker handle but is too short. Also note that if you use a thinner floss like POH floss, the Flossaid will tend to…

these works. See my usage tips below

I did not floss. I usually floss 2-3 times a year before going to the dentist. But for some reason after the last visit (and there really weren't any particular changes) I decided to start flossing. I flossed daily for a week but decided I needed help. The three tiny samples of dental floss they gave me at the dentist's office were practically useless, no effort as a tiny piece of dental floss was quickly pulled through the holes in the cheap plastic. I ordered them and I like them very much…
