Weak Magnetic Connection with Magsafe

I'm not sure if the magnet in this holder is weak or not the right size for the magnet on Magsafe cases, but it doesn't hold my phone with Magsafe very well , it doesn't fall right away, but it's definitely not stuck there. However when I use my Moft wallet on the back of my phone it holds great so I think it's too small for the Magsafe magnet in the case and only touches part of it so it's flimsy when I hold it .

Weak magnetic connection with Magsafe

I'm not sure if the magnet in this mount is weak or the magnet on the Magsafe cases is sized wrong, but it doesn't hold my phone up Magsafe case very well, it doesn't fall right away but it's definitely not fixed there. However when I use my Moft wallet on the back of my phone it holds great so I think it's too small for the Magsafe magnet in the case and only touches part of it so it's flimsy when I hold it .

Perfect for Miata 1990 NA

Perfect for Miata 1990 NA. Just make sure the vent is tight and not lost. The magnet is moderately strong. I recommend not pulling the phone to remove it, but rather sliding it out of the holder. I know it covers some of the dashboard buttons/knobs but now I know where everything is. And it's a lot better than having a long mounting arm that runs from the windshield to the front of the dash. It looks very simple and clean. 5 Stars.

Not strong enough to hold a new phone

Most new phone cases come with a magnet attached. If you are planning to use a magnet on the phone case instead of covering it with the magnet included in this case and you hit a bump or pothole in the car, the phone will detach from the magnet and you will have to pick up the handset. Your phone, hopefully when stopped. This only seems to work on very flat roads (it never will) unless your case comes with a magnet already, or if you have a smaller and lighter phone.
