This muffler fits my car perfectly. I have a Chevrolet Cobalt 2.2 2007, the sound is a bit loud but not too much. I was worried it was too loud, but it might actually be too quiet. There's definitely a much deeper and better sound, and it sounds great.

Great item. Love the sound, gets louder when you step on the pedal but not obnoxious and when you're not riding hard the muffler is pretty quiet. It's not quiet, but that's the point of buying a Flowmaster to hear your engine breathe. Produces a nice deep tone and rumble. For those who like loud sound all the time, you might want to consider the Original 40. No hum while driving, which is nice.

I bought these for a 2005 Dodge Magnum RT and bought the wrong ones first. The Magnum requires 2.25 displacement on both sides, but because the guy who made it knew what he was doing, he easily made me a custom exhaust for the car. Secondly, there are respirators in my car that muffle the sound of the exhaust a bit. I bought this muffler for Toyota Tacoma 96 2.7. I was hoping for a more aggressive sound, but it still sounds good. It has a good rumble at lower revs, but sounds more stock at higher speeds. I first listened to YouTube videos, some sounded aggressive and some didn't, so I'm not too surprised by the result. The Flowmaster rep I spoke to on the phone told me that the more exhaust that goes through this muffler, the better it will sound. Overall I'm still happy with the sound of this muffler…

Sounds good. The only complaint is that it didn't exactly match the Jeep. My son is probably to blame for this, as he decided on the silencer on the recommendation of friends. I don't think he looked in to see where the inlet was. With the muffler removed, the inlet pipe was in the middle and the outlet was off-centre. It was upside down on the muffler we received. This forced me to adjust it slightly cocked so that the clearance from the ground was about 3 inches or so less than it would have…

I'm not particularly interested in the farting sound of a 4 cylinder engine or even the rumble of a V6 trying to sound like a V8 muscle car. I replaced a factory muffler with 2 of these on my 2002 Impala 3800 non sc and right away on start up all I heard was a low rumble and it stayed hoarse in the acceleration range and mid range despite not being a 500hp Mustang Super was.
