This muffler was used to replace one of these 40 series mufflers. This one sounds a lot better. Much louder without all the hum in the cockpit. I see why it's $200 lol

This muffler is overpriced. The sound is pleasant, but the cockpit is buzzing. It's just as loud inside as outside. I bought a 22" stainless steel Magnaflow (straight design) for half the price. Great sound with no hum.

very good sound not annoying and sounds much better than original equipment if there was a flowmaster 45 a little louder without being noticed by the law it would be even better my little nephew got 40 and it's louder and can attract more attention when he accelerates. lol I'm just a curmudgeon and don't want to pay the state fines

I can't say anything about the so-called "torque increase" that is supposed to be achieved with this type of silencer, as well as a slight increase in fuel consumption; I don't notice any difference. Installed this on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Hemi and I can say the exhaust is breathy rather than pretentious about hearing nothing else. On the freeway, the rumble is a little louder than the stock muffler. Don't really hear the noise unless you're on the gas and when you do it sounds AMAZING!

Installed on Ram 5.7 2016 Left factory resonator, very clean sound. Not loud, not quiet. The interstate only "hums" when I trudge uphill, I live in Tennessee there are so many. That's not loud enough to talk about. The sound itself is of course amazing, a nice harsh roar! I've told my wife that I feel "grown up" because the sound isn't loud enough to disturb others. There is nothing to complain about, except for the price, I think it should be about $50 cheaper.

Sounds great. Enough grunt at idle and excellent sound when accelerating. I left the rear resonator on so it doesn't get too loud. The truck now sounds like a truck. Update: Maybe this year they'll add a Flowmaster chamber resonator in front of the muffler and remove the OEM resonator next to the exhaust pipe. Flowmaster suggests their resonator helps a lot more than the factory installed one. I can still hear the 1500rpm hum in the MDS and it's annoying. Just use the shift buttons to prevent…
