CO2 meter will not fit 5/8 hose fitting and will not come with adapter as listed. Apparently the adapter required is not a common item, the welder says they've never seen one (they said it's a flow meter used in hospitals, not for welding) and they had to use a short hose with a 9/16 Making internal threads in one go. end and a 5/8 female on the other side to make it usable ($11 but shouldn't have needed it!)

This regulator comes well formed in a special box so it hasn't been damaged in transit. I was replacing a leaking regulator that would cost more to fix than buying a new one. I needed a 5/16" barbed hose coupler, so I had a good idea it would work for me, and it does. After unscrewing the union nut I noticed that there was a ball on the other end of the barbed fitting it might accept a different type of fitting such as well known brand welders.
