Totally Quality on my review.

Fluke tools seldom disappoint and these pliers are no exception. They're not your father's Channellocks! I also own, like, and use Channellocks, but there really is no comparison in quality. The Flukes are beautifully made in Germany of forged Cro-Van steel. The jaws are well-aligned. Teeth are sharp. V-notches are offset, so they will pretty much grip anything you can get into the jaws. The smoothness of the adjustment - and it's finely adjustable besides - really has to be felt to be…

Pros
  • A side cutter allows for easy snipping and cutting of wires
Cons
  • May not be able to withstand high levels of pressure or force

Great quality on my review.

If you're going to have one plier in your tool bag, a combination plier (also called linemen pliers) like this is a good choice. You'll find them in the tool boxes of tradesmen of many different professions. They might be the most versatile pliers made. This combination plier from Fluke is great quality. Yeah, there's some sticker shock over the price, but keep in mind these are forged from "hardened, German chromium-molybdenum-vanadium (CMV) steel"---and the specs don't hedge by saying just…

Pros
  • Hand Tools
Cons
  • May not be suitable for left-handed individuals

Great Cutters good for me

I reviewed three Fluke tools in this line, longnose pliers, lineman pliers, and diagonal cutters. The tools are very similar, and these are my general thoughts on all three tools.=== The Good Stuff ===* They are German-made, and they look it. Everything lines up with no blemishes for finishing marks, all the edges are smooth, and the tools are somewhat heavier than you might expect.* The grips have a great feel to them- a very slight amount of give, but a sure feel to them and easy to grasp…

Pros
  • Pliers
Cons
  • Not highly customizable

Nice but probably not worth the price

Nicely made pliers with a dense rubbery handle. Comparing to an Irwin Vise-grip plier which I've used for years, they are pretty much indistinguishable in terms of weight, handle, and function. For a homeowner on a budget, I'd recommend saving a lot of money and going with something like the Irwin's.

Pros
  • These fluke 1000v are exceptional, every detail is absolutely perfect. They look and feel great!
Cons
  • Quality of insulation may not be reliable in the long term
