Great tool for professionals with one exception

Bought to replace my obsolete Fluke T2 tester. The backlit LCD display for measuring voltage is very convenient when you don't want to take out your meter to measure. The reason I deducted a star is because it comes with TP2 probes which are good for an electronics engineer but useless for an electrician who will be the primary user of this unit. The TP2 test leads are round and difficult to insert into sockets, while the TP1 leads are flat and designed to fit into sockets. The first thing I…

The best simple voltage/open circuit tester you can buy.

I've been using these for years. I had two rejections on me. One was due to physical damage and that doesn't count, the other only lasted 6 months but the manufacturer replaced it free of charge. Simple operation, always on, no need to press a button. The touch results in tests and instant continuity or voltage readings. Measures up to 12V and up to 480V, no AC/DC adjustment, detects current type. do something more complex. For 99.9% of my daily needs, this guy gets the job done.

Tester for every field electrician

ADVANTAGES: - Reliable - Stable - Accurate - Economical CONS: - Not accurate - Wires can get tangled and snag on tools. this model) has been in my tool bag since I was a 2nd grade student (a long time ago). and he points to the areas. The only thing missing is a more accurate voltage measurement, but there are other pricier/thinner testers that can do that for you if you need it. I had problems with tangled cables at first, but over time they went away on their own. A must for every Sparky.

Not enough for voltage tester

I've had a lot of problems with these meters and probably only use them twice a month in a residential setting and I usually have problems for a few years and the fluke is a bitch son and they fight over it every receipt, and then you let him make sure you get a new meter from them. There is a tiny serial number on the sticker that comes with the kit. Take them, stick them on your meter and stick them on top. It is the warranty date code. You'll never see it in the box, but it's a bit more of a

Great base counter.

I really wanted a low resistance tester because the triacs on the PLC output boards flow like a sieve when working and when the output is off I still see 114-118 volts quite often. When I put my colleagues' solenoid tester on them, they didn't move the needle, so I figured I should get something like that. This thing still beeps and vibrates at the ghost output, but at least when I look at the screen it says something like 73V and I know the output is indeed disabled. I've found I really like…
