I really wanted a low resistance tester because the triacs on the PLC output boards flow like a sieve when working and when the output is off I still see 114-118 volts quite often. When I put my colleagues' solenoid tester on them, they didn't move the needle, so I figured I should get something like that. This thing still beeps and vibrates at the ghost output, but at least when I look at the screen it says something like 73V and I know the output is indeed disabled. I've found I really like this thing for basic troubleshooting and LIVE-DEAD-LIVE, and now my 373 just sits on my cart when I need an amp clip. Vibration, loud sound, and no need to fiddle with switches and knobs make this thing such a pleasure to use in control panels. Walking down the terminal block to find where the circuit drops out of the safety chain is pretty damn nice with this thing!
