💧 Optimized Fluval Pump for EVO12/Flex 15/Spec 16 Review

The delivery was fast but the pipe that was supposed to connect to the engine was missing q and a , and that is false advertising, does not include the handset

Pump tube shown. There was no hose. The ad must be updated to show what actually comes with the order and the description must be the same. Luckily I already have an old pipe. Not connected yet. I just hope that at least works

I bought this to replace my Flex 15. Unfortunately, it smelled directly of lavender essential oil. I tried cleaning it but I couldn't get rid of the smell. It works well, I've tried pouring it into a bucket of water to clean it, but I won't risk my favorite fish.

I have a Flugal Flex and was looking to replace it completely should it break in the future. Although the picture included in the description shows hoses and fittings, this item is not included. The pump itself is a quality pump for a 15 gallon aquarium, I only wish I had what the picture shows so only 4 stars in the rating.

The pump fits the Fluval Evo 13.5 but it does not come with all the parts shown in the photo. The hose and fitting are not included and if you don't already have them or if the previous ones you had are unusable then this item is totally UNUSEABLE. Very dissatisfied with it. Will not buy from this buyer again!

That's why I use this pump in my Fluval Flex 15. The original pump lasted 1 year with regular maintenance. I am happy with this price. I was disappointed as it didn't come with a hose as pictured, just a pump, cord and 4 suction cups. Luckily I had the tubes and bracket removable so I could use my old lamp and fixtures.

Overall I really like Fluval products even though I've tried 2 of them in 3 months. I bought a cheaper and more popular pump here and had no problems. I also added a skid plate if that was a problem as we've had a few power outages and I wasn't sure if that was the cause of both pumps failing. I just didn't want to afford it again in these pumps so take my review for what it's worth!

The pump for my Fluval Flex 15 was fading - took it out and cleaned it thoroughly which helped. But after more than 2 years I finally needed a replacement as the pump was struggling to suck water into the rear chamber which meant the water level in the front chamber was starting to rise dangerously. This is the exact replacement. The flow rate is improved over the tired original. It remains to be hoped that the service life will also improve compared to the original. Luckily I didn't need the…
