Great while it lasted.

This is the best straight cutter when using a slotted ruler. My only complaint is that the spring mechanism holding the blade failed after a few weeks of moderate to heavy use. Still works but now the loop where the blade spins up and down seems to be falling apart (plastic) ugh! If the moving components of this cutter were aluminum or steel, it would be bulletproof. I hope this can be fixed because it's a good product. Seems like an easy fix in the age of 3D printers!

Unsupported blade means poor cutting accuracy

The results you get can be abysmal. Sometimes it cuts a straight line, sometimes it goes far to the side when the blade spontaneously unscrews. Half of the blade is unsupported, this is really a hopelessly bad design. Also, the little plastic clip that secures the blade is cheap and can break. It is very difficult to get it to slide into place to secure the blade. Instructions are vague. Overall, the Logan does a good job of design and build quality, but this is a trainwreck.

Didn't expect much but works great!

I didn't have high expectations for this 1/2 inch thick sheet of foam that I bought at an art store, but surprisingly it cuts very cleanly. Inserting the blade is a bit tricky (I threw away the instructions, of course) but was intuitive enough to understand. This allows you to attach the blade on either side, which is nice. There are 5-6 blades but I used one blade to make about 10 96 inch cuts so I would say the blades are decent. I followed the instructions and used a piece of foam board…
