Solid Converter: Computer and Accessories

So note that this dongle is an active converter and requires 5VDC via the USB cable (included). It gets a little warm when in use, but works well. There is some loss of resolution due to the digitization of the analog signal. this applies to ANY device that performs this function. I would recommend this device if that is what you need.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

Ideal. HDMI to VGA Adapter

I've had two TVs connected to my computer with just one HDMI splitter for a while so I could either use the smaller one for everyday use or the larger one Stream video and see better around the room. I decided I wanted to be able to use both screens at the same time so I researched and found this product. I doubted it would work as easily as described or that my computer would recognize it, but it worked right away. I have an HDMI cable in the HDMI slot for a TV and another HDMI cable connected

Does what it's supposed to do

Easy setup, solid device. Includes a short USB power cable that plugs into the USB port next to the VGA and my laptop, which supplies enough power, didn't need an AC adaptor. Remember this is for VGA TO HDMI. So when you hear it didn't work, remember that the person may have tried it the other way around, which didn't work. Also note that no real HDMI cable is included, so you must have one or order it separately. It includes an audio cable that can be useful in some setups. It's small, which…

Works great with my Windows Vista desktop

I hooked this up to my old Windows Vista system to use for scheduling work in my small office. I took a good look at it and had no problems reading the instructions that it does NOT work bi-directional. So I knew it wasn't going back to the computer from HDMI, only going from the computer to the HDMI input. Having only used it as a large monitor I was pretty sure it would fit me and it worked great. I have a 40 inch flat screen TV that is wall mounted so I have no problem watching it. It gives…

Finally a solution.

Last year I bought a new Ultra monitor for my desktop PC, but despite months of trying I couldn't get it to work satisfactorily. The PC had VGA, HDMI and USB outputs. Connected to HDMI but disappointed that the BIOS doesn't show up at boot. No web search turned up an answer, but plenty of people with the same unresolved issue. I happened to come across mention of this adapter and luckily it was available through Revain. Arrived very quickly and voila, BIOS display restored. `One small flaw: The
