Description for BOTH white and black versions states that there is a removable line guide but the black one is not. Maybe I should have understood from the picture that it is shorter. than white, but I didn't. It's not the full height of the paper, so the papers will fold. Also, the support bars on the bottom prevent the paper from falling out, but don't keep the paper straight. I return mine.

I use this for knitting charts and it has helped a lot. This allows me to place a book on top and keep the book open on the desired page(s). I have to use sticky notes to hide the lines I'm working on because the clip provided has a window too big to only show the line I'm working on.

Cheap and trashy. The plastic in the clips and at the bottom of the stand is thin and therefore very fragile. A horizontal rail with a clip to hold you in place hangs away from the clip at the end so you lose track of which line you're on. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

The item was obviously returnable. It had several signs of having been previously opened. The box contained blond hair hanging inside out under a ribbon. I am African American with black hair.

It arrived deformed and dented in a box with no factory protective packaging. Metal is just a step up from aluminum foil. A cheap plastic document clip detaches from the base and hardly sticks to the paper. It also blocks the slider, which is incredibly inaccurate and wobbly. The backing is also less wide than the standard US sheet of paper. As a result, the paperclip will crumple the edges of the document that hang down from the too-narrow back.
