It arrived deformed and dented in a box with no factory protective packaging. Metal is just a step up from aluminum foil. A cheap plastic document clip detaches from the base and hardly sticks to the paper. It also blocks the slider, which is incredibly inaccurate and wobbly. The backing is also less wide than the standard US sheet of paper. As a result, the paperclip will crumple the edges of the document that hang down from the too-narrow back. Very difficult to use and flimsy compared to what the 1980's replacement was. Avoid this product at all costs. It's easy enough to make a good one.
