Don't waste your money. I tried using this glue stick on quilt cotton to glue a piece of paper pattern (following Judy Niemeyer's quilt pattern guide). The fabric doesn't stick to the paper at all! I ended up using the pens with the best effect. Even worse, I bought 2 glue sticks at a time (I thought it would be effective). Now I'm "stuck" with them too.

Fons and Porter Water Soluble Fabric Glue is a great glue for English paper stitching or any other project where you temporarily glue fabric together. I don't think this glue is designed to last forever as the 2 glued pieces of fabric come off easily. For this reason it is an excellent glue for gluing fabric around pieces of paper for English paper gluing (as well as general paper gluing). This glue looks and works the same as the more expensive Sew-Line glue.

This is my favorite glue stick! I keep one at every sewing station and never go on a date without it in my bag. The glue is water soluble, making it safe for all fabrics. The pen-shaped design is ideal for working on detailed projects and allows for tighter connecting lines than thick glue sticks. It feels good in the hand and is easy to work with.
