Good Quilting Gloves

Really helps move the quilt around for free quilting. color does not fade. I used to have white gloves and they matched the color of the fabric I was quilting. I then worried that they would lose that color in future quilts. Don't worry with 7855 machine gloves.

Quilting essential

My favorite quilting gloves. I wore mine so often it had holes in all my fingers so I bought another pair of the same ones. They're light, don't make my hands sweat (which they very easily do), and they have the right amount of grip. They also fit my hand perfectly. Easy entry and exit. Worth every penny!

Great but not for flannel/super soft fabrics

This is great but I realized a bit late that I'm dialing in my blanket with gloves on. I've tried grabbing the ends instead of palms down, but that wasn't very successful. I thought I could get the picks out with a sweater razor, but I couldn't. I've worked with some flannel pieces - I can only assume they won't do this with cotton/quilted denims.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Best buy for machine quilting machines!

Bought this after reading some reviews. Best buy ever. Has grippy pads on the full palm of both gloves and gives my back a breather from not having to grip as hard. Reasonable price and fast delivery. They fit like a glove, which is what you need when machine quilting. It's like a second skin with super grip. The only downside is that any loose threads that come off your work will stick to it.

  • Quick Change

They work great: Quilted

These gloves fit me but they are quite tight on my hands and yes I bought the right size. After having them for a while, I found gloves for about $1.10 at a hardware store that work just as well and don't pinch my hands as much. The ones sold at the hardware store are sold as gardening gloves, but they also have non-slip grips and I use them more than Fons and Porter gloves now.

  • Nice to use

  • Fade

My Favorite Freehand Tools

These gloves have a snug fit, enough support for freehand quilting, and are easy to slip off when you're done. The dark color of the gloves contrasts nicely with most of the fabrics I use for my quilts, allowing me to easily see where my hands are. The grip points cover the entire surface of your fingers and palms, allowing you to guide the fabric with your hands, not just your fingertips. Definitely a good buy.

  • Cool, Comfortable Cotton Gloves with Grip Dots

Women: long fingers? Order Large

I ordered a medium size for myself based on detailed measurements and reviews as they were larger than usual (my measurements were below average). When I opened the package I panicked because they looked tiny! However, they fit better than expected but were a bit short at the wrist and thumb knuckle which was uncomfortable. I should have known better that female environments don't usually suit me. They are well constructed. I gifted this pair to my mom and ordered another pair in a plus size.

Make sure you get the right size!

I love my new quilting gloves! They are perfect for me, although I was a bit worried the setting would be too big. i have small hands I measure 3 inches at the top of the palm (just below the fingers) and 6.5 inches (from the tip of the middle finger to the base of the wrist). The gloves fit perfectly. The gloves are well made and comfortable. I've used them a few times and they do what they're supposed to do - help me hold the blanket while she wrestles with my car. An added bonus is that they
