. These bags have a very strong chemical odor. God how do people use these food bags? I opened the package and placed the contents on a metal shelf outside under the porch for ventilation. The next day the whole porch stinks. I took the hanger away from the house and left them there for another week, the smell was still so strong. I threw it away. It's not worth returning if I have to handle it, pack it, etc.

I have a 19 year old son on the autism spectrum and the labels on them help him know where to break. you can see what's inside. I cooked spaghetti and put a portion in it. Son wants one after playing all night comes and microwaves it for 4 minutes and it's exactly the same as me. The sauce hasn't dried up yet. I also have frozen stew in it. I just recently upgraded my Vac Seal machine and they are the first ones I've bought. I've used them for broccoli cheese soup, chili sauce, and spaghetti. I filled them just over halfway (2 servings) until cold. Fold the top down and use tape to hold them in place and slipped into my freezer overnight. The next day when I was frozen I vacuum packed (sealed) them and the bags worked beautifully! When I'm done I take them out, put them in boiling water to heat and they're ready to serve! No fuss,

These bags are the only choice in our house. We've had Food Savers since they first came out. We've exhausted two and are working on a third machine. I love these things! I invested in Food Saver a few years ago when my work schedule was so hectic due to peak season and travel that I didn't have time to shop, cook etc small meals. Once a week I would cook or shop and then put everything in my Food Saver bags. This way I have quick meals for the week that stay fresh. I bought them back when I bought several products in bulk and I would like to point out that they work great. I particularly like that the cooking time is printed on the side of the bag, making it easier to use. For that reason alone, they deserve five stars.
