Convenient and Efficient: FoodSaver 31161370 Cordless Handheld Food Vacuum Sealer Review

It's smaller than other portable devices, but you can't use it while it's connected to a network. The suction power is not as fast or good. Won't make very many bags without dying out.

Pretty cool little food preservation module. It uses all Food Saver brand bags and possibly others (although I haven't tried the others yet) and the bags aren't cheap so keep this in mind - close to a dollar a bag so you really want to use them. wise. This device comes with multiple pouches. Charger and some sealant - works surprisingly well (see video). It also works pretty fast.

Purchased because the accessory function on my full size FoodSaver Sealant no longer works. It took a long time to charge initially, but it's taken a long time since then, so I think it's a wash. The device and charger are very compact and easily fit in my kitchen garbage drawer. Does a great job sealing pouches and it's nice to have several in the kit. Excellent product. It takes up so little desk space and is very useful! I have a small kitchen and a small child. We eat a lot of fruits and vegetables in my family, and before I started using this, any unused portions of veggies I tried to save for later were wasted. I use this Foodsaver almost every day with Foodsaver Zipper Bags to keep unused fruit and veg fresh for DAYS! When this product worked it was very easy to use and worked great with a few exceptions. If there was some liquid in the bag (not at all, no soup or anything like that, just some bacon) then the machine will try to suck the liquid in through the vacuum hole and won't suck out the remaining air. The reason this gets a 1 star rating is twofold. Even when the product worked the battery life was terrible but after 2 weeks and only 10 uses this thing died. This is a great product as long as it works, just the right size for me. I usually don't give 1 star because it broke - it's normal, everything breaks. I give it 1 star because of the customer support - this product comes with a 1 year warranty, I opened a ticket, it's been over 2 weeks now and the support team is barely helpful. I purchased this product in November 2029 along with quart and gallon packs. Not only did the bags not keep their seal even after squeezing out a small amount of syrup before sealing, I ran my fingers over the zipper on each end three times before sealing to make sure it was securely closed. This small handheld vacuum sealer is as good as, if not better than, a large vacuum sealer. It works better than my old full size sealer. It's about 5 inches. It comes with a charging dock. It needs to be charged for 24 hours before first use. The manufacturer recommends a full 24-hour charge to extend battery life.
