Not as strong as original food wrap rolls but very close. Every once in a while I get a homemade bag that needs to be resealed to make it stick, but considering how expensive branded bags are, they do the job pretty well. They're not as thick as the bags that came with the sealant, but they do the job.

Mixed success for specialty vehicles

I've had mixed success with this. You get a lot for the price, but I've had a few bags that filled with air a few days after freezing. I've even tried double and triple sealing each end and this can still happen. That said, it doesn't happen every time, but it has happened enough times that I have to consider going back to the FoodSaver brand bags because it never happened to them.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Modern

Better. As a food savings IMO.

, I wanted some cheaper packages than the food saving ones. They actually work better IMO. Why? Bc they are a bit thinner. Or at least feel it for me. Vacuum packing the 200lb smoked clobas my buddies and I made this weekend worked great. The only thing I wish the Vacusaer had was white measurement markings so I know how much to cut for the same length. Otherwise I love her. And they worked great. Pass on good information.

Pros
  • Annual Trial
Cons
  • For the old

Maybe it's in these bags. Maybe it's the car. I use a not so fancy car, I use INLIFE K8 sealing. These bags need to be sealed 2-3 times to make sure the seal is good. Otherwise the seal will break. Just this week I had 3 pounds of marinated pork on my floor after the seal broke. Maybe these packages would be ok with a fancy car. With a budget car, eh.

High quality and great price!

Bought for a neighbor and he loves it. It's much cheaper than buying in any store. One thing I noticed is that these bags have textured inner walls to facilitate an efficient vacuum process. The ones I've used usually have this texture on both sides, but these bags only have this texture on one side. This doesn't seem to make them any less efficient, although they work best textured side up when sealing food. Conclusion: You get a lot of packages at a really great price. When my current roll…

Seal and save! suitable for vacuum bags

These bags were well packed and served their purpose. The weight/thickness isn't as good as the original grocery bags, but it seems to work well. As soon as I received them, I packed 6 things. And of those 6, it didn't hold a vacuum and had to be resealed. I checked the items again after a week and they are still holding a vacuum. For the price I will keep using them. The only downside is that the roll doesn't fit in the vacuum system so I have to cut them one by one which is a bit awkward…

Poor Performance: Kitchen and Food

I use the Food Saver 3620 to make larger bags to separate 28 pounds of fine dry pet food into 3 pound bags. The packets end up being about 10-12 inches long. These bags initially created the correct vacuum and seal, but failed to seal for 24 hours. To try and find a way to make them work better I tried two methods. ) Traditional method: seal one side, fill food, vacuum and seal the other side. 6 out of 8 bags could not be closed overnight. 2) Double sealing method: seal one side in 2 places…

Quality vacuum bags for food in rolls at an affordable price.

I've been using rolled Food Saver packs for a while and have found that they can be expensive. I looked online to see what was available and came across Food Vac Bags.com and found that I could get more products for about the same price I paid for a branded item. I took a chance and bought a combination roll of 8"X50" and 11"X50". My order was processed within a day with email confirmation. I used an 11" roll and had no sealing issues. One side is structured like the brand name, allowing for…
