Men's Athletic Shoes - FootJoy 53596 in White and Black Review

I really liked these shoes for their fit and comfort, but I was let down by their durability. While the waterproof leather is immaculate and the laceless lacing system is acceptable, the glue used to laminate the cleatless traction components to the sole of these boots is unacceptable. After three months of ownership, the lugless plastic inserts began to separate from the shoe, and no amount of shoe-goo glue could stop them from sticking to the sole. Now I'm returning them to Footjoy.

Like the comfort of shoes without cleats, like the way they adapt to your feet. I don't like the spikes that come off the shoe after wearing it 6 or 7 times.

I bought 11 months ago and used 25-35 times. The spikes will detach and render the product unusable. Had to use my old 6 year old. As with most products, the manufacturer has lowered the price of the product and consumers are suffering as a result. I submitted a complaint to Footjoy 8 days ago and have not received anything.

Those golf shoes were too big! This is not true to size and you should order at least one size smaller. One star for size and return. You have to pay to send the package back.

I love the fit and especially the easy fit with the BOA cable adjustment system. I would like to see a model with a ventilated mesh upper.

The shoes are comfortable and work well. However, the shoe falls apart after 7 weeks. So disappointing! Really very disappointing. The panel with spikes falls off completely.

This Sophie has been with her for several years. I still have my old pair but thought it would be nice to have a spare pair. Worried at first if the ties would hold up but they are still fine. I love how easy they are to put on.

Great golf shoes! The Boa system wrapped around my leg and kept me stable throughout the loop. The shoes were waterproof and comfortable. Great golf shoes and I'm glad I bought them!

These are very comfortable walking (and riding) shoes, especially for very wide feet like mine. The insole is very soft, but I like that it's removable and has enough room for thicker full-foot orthopedic shoes. I think the traction is great! I love high quality leather! My only concern/question is how long will the outsole/cleats last? (Since mine are new I'll have to find out later)

Great golf shoes. The fit is perfect and the tension adjustment on the back of the shoe ensures the perfect fit. Too bad it doesn't improve the game!

The shoes are very comfortable and the BOA is great. Especially for me as I had surgery and my right ankle/foot is slightly larger than my left.

The shoes looked great and I was dying to try the cleatless feature but they were too narrow. That's the problem with ordering shoes without trying them on, because you can never be sure how they're going to feel. My return is being backordered for a new pair of Footjoys. I love BOA laces and am looking forward to a new pair. If all goes well I'll definitely write down my shoe size instead of relying on my age memory. Can't give 5 stars just because of the size.

I would like to add to my review about the laces on these shoes. The laces are not tied - the adjustment of tightening or loosening is done with the handle on the back of the shoe. Very cool!

I normally wear Pro SL lace-ups, but I chose BOA due to the price of the previous season's black model. The fit is exactly the same as I'm used to, except no laces need treatment. As long as I like them. The BOA system doesn't look very reliable, but it has to be a proven design or they wouldn't have made it for so long. hope they hold up.

The shoes were a bit tight but broke after a few holes. Only complaint, feet can get hot, not very breathable but very waterproof.

I bought these shoes as a gift, right after I received them, I sent them to a friend abroad, after the first use, the boots fell apart and everything came loose. I was so embarrassed I bought them as a gift and then it happened.

When I first played in it, the sole started to separate from the upper, grass and dirt stuck to it. By the end of the round, about 1 1/2 inches of the sole had separated from the upper. Either bad design or quality control issue or both as far as I know. This was the first and last time I bought Foot Joy golf shoes. I'm going back to Addidas.

Very comfortable shoes, ordered my usual size 12 and they fit just as expected. They look phenomenal and have proven to be waterproof. The boa on the back makes it very easy to tie/untie and adjust.
