Not worth the investment

According to my experience, this product did not meet my expectations. While it may be affordable, it lacks in performance and compatibility with other computers.

Older drivers cannot control the backlight

. The screen was packaged well and fitted without any problems. There is no support on one corner of the screen but that is not the biggest problem. There is a link in the instructions included to an outdated driver repository. It took me a while to figure out why I couldn't get the screen to work. It turns out that the included repository for the driver is no longer compatible with the current kernel. I have that finally figured this out just to get to the main reason i reset the stars…

The LCD is fine, but uses a different pinout than those in .

The LCD is fine but uses a different pinout than the Arduino library example. Corrected values: (LiquidCrystal lcd(8,9,4,5,6,7); . Pin 10 is used for the backlight of the LCD. Out of the box I found that the display was too bright and the LED gave off a lot of heat. I installed pin 10 on PWM with a value of 100 and now the build is running much cooler.The shield switches have some weird resistance values.I get analog readings,nothing down=1025,right=25,up=141,down=326 , left=502, select=739…
