Size and shape are excellent. The web is not perfect.

I like the size and shape of the glass. It fits well on our refrigerator door. Holds a decent amount of tea. The handle is very handy. But I had no luck with the filter. If I try to use a strainer when pouring the tea I have to be very careful as the tea will fly all over the place. It does not flow directly into the glass in a clean stream. So I feel like I always have to use either tea bags or tea balls, or I have to pour very slowly and be very careful. But I still like it very much.

Easy to use, good for dishes and serving

I used to make tea syrup the traditional way, boiling LARGE batches of tea in a pot on the stove and then adding sugar. The syrup was then diluted with water before serving. No longer! This cold cool pitcher is a breeze. Just add loose tea leaves and some warm water to start the brewing process. Let stand about 5 minutes. Then add cold water until the pitcher is full. Put something into the fridge. Leave to cool for about 4 hours. Then ready to drink. My only recommendation is to make the sameโ€ฆ

It's still the best container for ice tea, even if you need it.

I lost my first to a counter crash. This is still the best iced tea container, even if you have to decant. I'm not a fan of products that use any kind of plastic. However, the plastic sold by Kodak and DuPont should never come into contact with drinking water. Especially boiling water. Read Scientific American about BPA-free plastic. The myth does not apply to the real world where people now exhibit BPH toxicity. So I committed myself to this jar. I would like a large glass container with aโ€ฆ

Not very suitable for loose tea

I was looking for a glass jug for brewing loose tea and decided to finish my search with this one. They envisioned it being used with loose tea and it has a fine mesh filter to keep the leaves out of my cup which bodes well. I've used it for one batch so far and am really disappointed with how it pours. The tea comes out in a few rivulets, which makes pouring a bit difficult, and leaves a few drops of tea on the outside of the spout. The leaves seem to collect in the lid when pouringโ€ฆ
