Tea for me: French presses

This little press is my lifeline at work. I make tea, coffee or lemon/lime juice to keep me company throughout the day. Easy to clean. Easy to use. I have a large version of this press for home use and that is my dream too.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Vanishing

Perfect for a cup of coffee!

This little French press is perfect for a cup of coffee because I like using a large 16 ounce mug. The plunger goes down very easily with no resistance, so I don't know if it stays thick in the cup. I use a grounds filter bag so it's easy to clean and there's no grounds in the coffee!

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Expensive

Funny little French press. Very good construction.

Cheerful little French Press. Nice design, just right for the morning coffee for two. Note: The slim black rubber holder that comes with the press is actually a "stand". It is not glued to the bottom of the glass and can be easily removed for washing. So don't try to take the press and wash while holding on to the stand. If you do, the glass will fall out of its holder, fall into the sink, and possibly break.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Almost never

Poorly installed filter results in crispy coffee

I really wanted to like this product. It was the perfect size for my large mug. But the strainer was so big that the cylinder rippled, opening up large areas for TONS of ground coffee. I'm not just talking about a few properties (that would be enough for me), I'm talking about enough ground coffee to make another cup of coffee. I even tried cleaning my French Press and re-filtering my cup of coffee. Coffee I made to see if it works. No, tons of coffee is ground back into the cup. This rendered…

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

When microwave water is water, it's best.

That's a cute little thing! The reason I bought it is because I wanted a decent cup of coffee at work, which is often hard to come by. I like that you can heat water in the microwave. THIS is how I bought it! I don't have access to a stove and hot water is hot water no matter what. I don't care about K cups. expensive. So I was able to prepare a delicious cup of coffee at work. Exactly what I wanted and exactly what I got. I recommend this to anyone who is in the same situation or would rather…

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • No insurance

I wish I could give it TEN stars!

The last time I replaced my Keurig coffee maker I decided that if it failed (I've had to replace it (mini) multiple times) I would consider a different brewing method. The research led me to the French press. There are many to choose from. Some presses are rated in cups. Depending on which side of the Atlantic you live on, the minimum glass size is either 125 ml (4.23 fl oz) or 6 fl oz. But many people, myself included, drink from a mug (8-16 ounces). The size of the cup is often not specified…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
