Wow like looking through an HD screen. This hood works amazing. As a metal fabricator for over forty years I would highly recommend this hood for anyone in the metal fabrication industry whether your a professional or laymen.

I was very excited to receive my new master series helmet. I felt like I got a great deal for 80 dollars but now that it's here I'm not so excited. Couple issues. headgear as stated previously is not comfy but I wear a hat so it's not a huge deal. The helmet holes/detents/stopper for when you put the helmet down in welding mode are way off. Compared to my other welding helmet, the view through the lens is as clear as the air around me; when welding, the lens darkens near instantaneously but the resulting image remains sharp. Outside the lens, the helmet is comfortable. My only caveat is that Forney offers sparse instructions - with my purchase nothing was stated about the need to remove the little slips of paper insulating the batteries.
