I really didn't find the FelPro steel wire extractor very helpful in removing blackheads and it seems to cut into the skin painfully due to the thin wire frame. I wouldn't give more than three stars.

I bought this extractor and found it to work very well. I didn't have to press hard on my skin to clear clogged pores. I didn't realize it was that thin until I had to replace it when I lost mine! 5 shipments later and each comedone removal tool looked like the original in shape but not thickness, I couldn't find one that worked the same way. I bought this for myself and my girlfriend quickly stole it and brought it to her house. The quality is good, no defects. You can do some damage with these weapons if you're not careful. It is best to use a facial steamer first, then all the little pimples and blackheads will come out much more easily.

I have never used this product before so I looked at MANY reviews first and chose it for the very thin blackhead removal loop. I've heard thicker ones don't work if you have small pores like mine. So this is a VERY thin metal loop and it helps if you use it properly. I learned this the hard way after accidentally peeling off multiple layers of skin resulting in redness, flaking and scarring. 3 stars because it has the word 'wire' in the name so I should have known it would be very flimsy but it's a useless one tool because the extractors are too thin. No pressure is applied to the outside of the defect, so it is ineffective. I usually give 1 star when a product is completely useless, but I didn't read the description carefully enough to see that it is a "wire" = flimsy.
