Unbelievable. Unbelievable. So good it almost hurts.

T40RP mk3. Replacement for AKG K77. The review was written an hour after receipt. Durability: Obvious point. These are not exactly everyday headphones. I would classify them as professional tools because of the cost, design and weight. If you twist or throw them frequently, you're likely to break some of the pivot ball guides. They are quite strong but plastic and yet fragile. However, my old, almost identical copies survived knocks on the counter quite often, but occasionally broke and had toโ€ฆ

On-ear headphones for $160

Before I begin my list of praises, let's start with a few caveats. First, they are designed for desktop listening with an amp. If you need portable headphones, look elsewhere. You have to crank the volume up to around 60% to reach normal volume, and even then these headphones don't sound quite right: highsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Low-repulsion ear cushions and head support for maximum comfort
Cons
  • Shorter cord than other models

It's only been about 5 years that my interest in audiophiles has grown to the point where I spend more than average. A dollar for better sounding music didn't mean much to me. My real journey started with the Panasonic RP-HTX-7 in 2012, although despite being cheap, they really opened my eyes when
