Versatile Fan for Automotive Comfort

This fan is great for automotive use. It's easy to install and has dual-direction operation. One minor con is that the control switch isn't very intuitive, but once you figure it out, the fan works great. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to fellow car enthusiasts.

I've noticed that it doesn't cool as well as the stock fan, although they do.

I removed the clutch fan on my 1981 Chevy Luv Diesel (C223 Isuzu engine) and replaced it with this one. I routed the relay power directly to the battery and installed a manual switch in the cab to activate the relay. I've noticed that it doesn't cool as well as a standard fan even though they're relatively the same size, but on sub 85 degree days I don't need a fan at all so this is a huge win as I swear old clutch fan used up 2- 5 hp (the standard motor has 50 hp, so it can be felt).
