Comfortable to wear

I've done nothing but try it on for a day, but it's comfortable to wear and doesn't move at all. 100 ounces is a LOT of water! (that's 6.25 pounds - a gallon equals 160 ounces). Clean it well first, and there was no weird aftertaste. I love that I can completely remove the water part and use it like a normal backpack. All the small pockets mean you can stash snacks and gear without crushing them. The material is durable, there is no feeling that it will tear when rubbed against something. The…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Large hydration pack

Excellent quality hydration pack. Very comfortable to wear and well made. A very good quality. It's large and you have plenty of room for snacks, bug spray, sunscreen and a few other small items that you might want to take with you on your hike. It holds a lot of water and can really hold enough stuff for a day. We're in the desert in the southwest, so the more water the better. Just note that this is a large package. Very comfortable to wear between the belt and the ventilated back. This isn't

Great backpack for a day hike

Just returned from a week exploring the national park and surrounding area with my family. This backpack was perfect for that! The 3L water bag was enough for the hikes my kids can do. The main luggage bag is quite roomy and big enough to hold a family dinner. On the outside of the backpack there is a small zip pocket and a fairly spacious mesh pocket. One feature I really like is the two small pockets that are built into the hip belt and can be accessed without removing the pack. They are the…

Lightweight and ideal for day trips with the family!

Bought this backpack for my husband. We have three children and love camping as a family. We live in Texas so staying hydrated is especially important during the summer heat. Here are his comments after use: 1. He is 6ft 3" and wears a 260lb/XL shirt and it fits him well, doesn't look too small for his taller stature and isn't too bulky. He can still move well and it doesn't get in his way. It weighs just over 2 pounds so it's nice and light! 2. He loves the rear airflow design very much. It's…

CAMELBAK KNOWS WHAT THEY DO

This is GREAT packaging. I LOVE CamelBak products and use them a lot, from backpacks to water bottles, and they're always very well made and thought out. This pack is no exception. I really enjoy using this pack and even like it more than my Osprey and Thule packs depending on the hack. Dubbed the "Fourteener," it's designed to carry everything you need for a long day of climbing the 14er. If you were a true minimalist or don't want the burden of camping/cooking/etc. spit with other campers you
