Good buy for my initial video lighting setup

Bought this studio lighting kit as my first fluorescent video lighting. The current studio only had stroboscopic lighting. These two lights were a good buy for my video lighting system and proved very fit for purpose. The luminous flux was strong, soft and even, bought a second kit to light the background of the kit. I thought that this money was not spent in vain to start my video studio.

Great budget headlights!

Exceeded my expectations by 100%. I mainly use them for fill light. These are excellent inexpensive permanent lamps. The build quality is first class. The tripods are strong and easily support the weight of the flashlights. At the same time, soft boxes are a bit flimsy, so traveling with them is problematic unless you break them entirely. Also, don't forget to get two bungee cords! If you're looking to add some inexpensive lights to your system, give them a try.

They will not be happy if they break outside of the return policy.

These lights showed promise but they break quickly if you take them apart and reinstall them more than 1-2 times. Mine arrived with two broken bulbs. 1 broken lantern body. I literally carefully screwed in the light bulb, and the cartridge burst. This is Chinese plastic garbage, not intended for travel. It would be nice if you installed them once in the studio and never had to remove them. Just don't buy if you plan on moving them or taking them apart for filming. They will not be happy if they

Assumed product properties are not correct! NOT as advertised.

My pair of "Cyber Monday Special" studio lights have arrived. The lights seem solid enough for the money, providing enough light for portraits or video if you bump the ISO up a little over the base. However, there is "misleading" (or fraudulent) information in the specifications. The specifications of this "3200W dual light system" consist of two 7 lamp heads feeding 14x45W of 1500 lumen CFL bulbs. Since this means it only draws 630 watts of power, perhaps they mean they produce light…

Great budget lighting

Wow, wow, wow. These lights are amazing. I have purchased several of these inexpensive lighting kits and can say without a doubt that this kit is the best I have ever purchased. The struts themselves are pretty sturdy, and the tubes are just under an inch thick. They are much sturdier than my old kits. I only use them with sandbags for extra security since the bulbs are CFLs. The softbox is huge! This is great for my green screen lighting application. Larger sizes mean more light spread. I…

Lamp quality OK, lamp quality control poor.

In general, this is a great inexpensive option for a sub-pro. With these StudioPRO softboxes we got a lot more (for a lot less money) than what we found at our local camera store. I've owned them for about 4 months now and have used them for about 18 hour long photo shoots. We use them to photograph large items for online sale and for impromptu video broadcasts. I almost knocked one over one day, but I moved the box quickly and didn't look closely where I was going. Of course they are not…
