Unreliable digital caliper for precision measurements

This electronic caliper from the aforementioned category is a poor choice for industrial and scientific use .Through trial and error, i found that the readings were often inaccurate and inconsistent, making it difficult to achieve precise measurements. The only upside is that the digital display is easy to read. Overall I would not recommend this product for anyone looking for a dependable dimensional measurement tool..

Good quality, can be calibrated by NIST.

This is a good quality internal caliper. It lasts a while, the only thing subject to wear and tear are the "teeth" at the end of the arrow. If they wear out a lot over time, you can't recalibrate them. The original lasted a long time though, so I bought two more and calibrated both with one as a backup for the other.
