Essential for making cookies

Being gluten free is hard and cookies are addictive so this cut allows me to make homemade gluten free cookies. I have been happy with all the cutters I have received from Fox Run. I always check them first for the cutters I need. We strongly recommend buying everything you need from them.

Pros
  • Quality construction

AMAZING LITTLE COOKIE COOKIES!

When you bake a lot of shortbread biscuits it is very important to have a nice little cutter. This 3 inch rectangle sold at Jack's Country Store is perfect! There were no "instructions for use" so just a reminder that all of these items should be hand washed in warm soapy water and rinsed thoroughly to avoid detergent build-up and discoloration. Very happy with this purchase!

Pros
  • old people understand too
Cons
  • safety

Great little tool!: Baking tools and supplies

I ordered this after reading some reviews. Most reviewers suggested that they wish the cutter was open at the top to make it easier to slide the dough out. I had no problems, all I had to do was tap the cutter and the dough came out instantly. I think if your recipe is more sticky you will have problems. Pewter is fairly soft and bends easily. This item was shipped quickly, I received it about 3 days after ordering!

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Too long to wait

SUPER CHEAP! Rust. Thrown in the trash!

Well it seemed really weak but I just shrugged. I put it on the top rack of the dishwasher for a quick clean. Well I put it on the counter for a second and there was a puddle of rust because everything seemed to be falling apart and disintegrating before my eyes so I quickly grabbed some paper towels and picked it up and threw it in the bin! It even smelled like old rusty metal everywhere!

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Negative impression

I could have made a better mold

I bought these to make nice shortbread cookies but as soon as I used the cutter the dough just got stuck in the cutter and because it covered the top was I couldn't take the dough out without mutilating it. I tried it a few more times and maybe 2 times out of 10 it gave me a decent result but definitely not worth the time and frustration. I ended up cutting the dough into rectangles with a knife, using the cookie cutter only as a ruler.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Not the best

MANUFACTURER NOTE

I love the shape of this little cutter, but as others have pointed out, it's awkward to use. It took a few tries to find a way to get the dough off the slicer since the top is covered. I've tried dipping the cutter in flour, sugar, hot water, hot water, sugar and applying nonstick spray. After each try, I shook it vigorously, trying to knock the dough out. Everything led to disappointment and failure. I even scooped the batter out with the narrow handle of an ice teaspoon. That helped, but…
