Maybe I have this; a bit, the core broke on the first apple I used it on. The whistle's handle fell loose, leaving me with a sharp metal cylinder stuck in the apple. Finally I could work for free. The only reason I'm not giving it a single star is because a little glue and it should be fine.

This is a good tool, but the smooth edge leaves a lot to be desired, especially for women who don't have much strength in their hands. When you hit a strong core, it takes Schwarzenegger's fingers to push it through. The cleaning plug works well. The tubular design makes this a good solid core receiver.
