Fits 2005 Kawasaki Ninja 500r

Cheapest filter I could find. Installation and removal went without any problems. What more could you want from an oil filter?

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Other Other

Didn't work Triumph Trophy

The oil filter didn't work on my 2014 Triumph Trophy. If you look at the OEM filter and the Fram filter from above, they are very different. When I installed it on my bike and started it, the oil came out. This filter does not create a good seal.

Pros
  • Annual trial
Cons
  • Not bad

Perfect replacement

Spins like a champ. The oil is properly filtered. Looks from the side. Black is a great color for an oil filter and Fram nailed it. I put it on the bike and it clicked right where the old one had come loose, making the job that much easier. Will i buy it again? I bet your lovely assistant I will.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Good but not great

Great filter for the money

How about this filter for my motorcycle. All in all this is a great product. The only problem I had was that this filter didn't bleed the air out of the system very well. I had to open the filter slightly to relieve pressure while the bike was in motion before the filter worked properly. I would recommend testing the filter with oil as much as possible before installing it.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Specialty Motorcycle Filters

Affordable and made in the USA. These two things make it a great motorcycle filter. I personally use them on my 2019 ZX-10R road bike. The bike races in CCS and MotoAmerica Stock 1000. Obviously the bike is used in the toughest conditions and these filters work perfectly. I turned to Fram Filters after a much more expensive K&N filter had a seal failure a few years ago. Cheaper, made in the USA and never fails.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • All good

Great filter, no problem, cheaper than alternatives

This Spring '15 I did my annual oil change on my Vulcan 900 and used this filter, replacing the same one I had last year. After that I took my bike for a long ride; no problems, leaks, whatever. I drove over 5000 miles with this Fram filter last season. No problem. I used to use a K&N filter that cost twice as much. That was good too. The KN's only advantage is that it has a handle so it can be removed with a simple mechanical key, while the Fram does not. But after lubricating the rubber…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Protection
