🌮 Authentic Fred THE GRATE TACO Cheese Shredder Review

It's delicious but you can't grate cheese with it. It's very thin and just not suitable for that. Makes a great gag gift though

Not as good as hoped. I'm not sure how to grate the cheese to keep it in the grater as shown in the picture. I bought this for tacos on Tuesday to give to my daughter because she loves tacos. I ended up shredding the cheese into the bowl because it would stick together if I tried to grate it into the tacos.

We love tacos in our house so I had to get this taco cheese slicer. Everyone loves to use this taco chopper because it's so much fun. It works just as well as any other cheese grinder, but much nicer. It's also nice that you can use it to grate the cheese and then simply put the cheese on top without pulling out a separate bowl.

This is a very cute and fun way to shred cheese for taco night or anytime you need freshly grated cheese! It's not the most comfortable grip so I use it when I need some cheese. My kid is happy to help if they can use the Grate Taco! I would say this is a great tool for grating cheese into a bag. The taco idea is genius because the cheese doesn't spill all over the place. So much fun!

Looks cool, but functionally it doesn't fit anywhere. To grate the cheese, you need to hold the top of the taco. Because it is plastic, both sides will compress when squeezed. This, combined with the slipperiness of the plastic, makes it almost impossible to hold this thing while grating cheese. It's very inconvenient and awkward to use, so it doesn't really work.

This product is very cute. We had a really cheap cheese grater that broke recently and it's a great replacement. It fits my hand perfectly, and while not sharp on the skin, it cuts through cheese quickly. It is dishwasher safe and fits in our cutlery drawer. I also used this for lemons and it worked great! I wish there were different sizes of graters. Maybe half fat and half thin. Just a suggestion. Highly recommended

The edges of the grate on it are sharp enough to get the job done well, but the taco's plastic mold doesn't leave a place to latch the handle. With a large piece of cheese, this chopper is a bit unstable. Several times when processing Parmesan, it slipped out of my hand. Not the end of the world, but not outstanding either. I'm not sure why it's taco shaped. The grater is pretty small, it doesn't hold much cheese when I put crumbs in it, and it's plastic, not decorative, so what's the point?

It's not the most amazing grill I've ever used, but kids find it great fun. My wife hates this because I keep asking her if she wants shredded tacos. It's just the epitome of daddy's jokes. This can also be a great white elephant gift exchange item. It scratches well but is not easy to hold. I know he wants it to look like a taco, but if it had waves on the sides or something it would be a lot easier to hold. Even without a pen, children fight over whose turn it is to rub them.
