Fredrix 5520 Stretched Canvas, 20-Inch Round: Versatile and Durable Artist Canvas for Artworks and Crafts! Review

I used this today to cast acrylic and before the paint was dry the canvas came loose from the frame. The canvas was glued, not sewn, and I think that was the problem. My last round canvas, I don't know if it's from the same company or not, was stapled and had no problems. This was not done correctly for this application.

It appears to be quite strong, apart from the fact that it's made of chipboard (which I knew when I bought it). It arrived in a box at least twice the size of the canvas, with no filler, and rattled there. There was a hole in the plastic wrap but the canvas was not damaged and does not appear to have been damaged. I haven't used it yet. I'll update the review once I've used it to see how it holds up. As a warning, this is NOT Fredrick's "bulged out" canvas as shown in the Amazon picture. They look a lot better quality (stitched, decent wood, better canvas) and cost a bit more money. The picture that Amazon shows before you go to this homepage is correct. Go for a round flat style like this one.
