Mmm, it really looks like a pad of thick paper with canvas glued to it. Ideal for small children. Badly deformed under acrylic. I would buy again for children. I would call it a kids class and put it in a student class.

Do Not Buy. It must have been a trademarked fake from China or something because it was like a drawing on cardboard and it was peeling off. Just like a thin veneer of what looked like canvas, but it was nothing more than cheap paper. I kept trying to paint the background with paint and even with plaster the quality was poor. Paint and plaster are erased with paper, and after repeated manipulations with two boards, I threw them all away.

I bought these for a painting project I'm doing for one of the rooms in my house and wanted 12" square canvas panels. I looked for many different products and they were the most economical. I am very satisfied with the quality of the boards. They are perfectly square and all packaged in the same size and shape. They are nice and solid and don't bend easily. They are excellent quality and I have used: acrylic paint, markers and markers on all with fantastic results. I will be buying the 8"…
