Very safe for heavy items

I used this to hang a fairly heavy mirror (50 pounds) in my dining room. Since it's 18" wide, I was able to attach a 3" screw through a hole in the stud and then insert the remaining screws using the drywall anchors provided. The result is a well fitted mirror that I have no doubt will stay in place. FYI, the "rubber bumpers" they include are 2 very small round pieces of rubber with an adhesive backing. They are the size of a coin. They were so small I thought they weren't in the package.

Pros
  • Keep it straight and secure - french clips are perfect for hanging heavy or long items

  • Compatibility

Very practical holder!

I was going to mount a large mirror on the wall of my home studio, but this part of the wall only has a few horizontal supports in a few places. which didn't help and does me no good when trying to hang something relatively flush with the top of the window frame. This 18" mount is a lifesaver! I used all 5 of the included drywall anchors for the wall plate as there were no studs at the top of the wall. Although I was initially apprehensive about hanging a 15 pound mirror using only drywall…

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Good product with some flaws

This is a good product and I would buy it again. I liked this maker compared to other models with the included spirit level because it felt thinner and held the painting closer to the wall. I removed the star for 3 reasons: (1) None of the pre-punched holes are in the center of the aluminum bar. So if you want to center this support on a specific mark you will need to measure the bar and mark the center point. (2) Only 5 screws for frame and 5 screws for wall are included. I wanted to use 6 for

Easy to install, seamless look

I love these hangers. They are perfect for a seamless look without the need to perfectly align screws and screw holes like some seamless mounts do. I used them for some DIY pallet wall decor for kids rooms. The largest weighs about 40 pounds and measures 36 inches by 30 inches. So far it's been about 30 days and it hasn't given me any problems. The anchors are a bit suspect so I used 3" construction screws straight into the studs which I would recommend. You will have no trouble fitting them…
