They're a bit like spandex so were pretty tight when jumping around. My daughter is a true 3t (not chubby, very athletic) and when we got her she fit like a leotard. After stretching, she fit normally but still seemed to show through her stomach as she moved and played. We washed it, no shrinkage but it's back to how it was when we first got it. The material is quite flexible, so we stretched it again and everything was fine. I would suggest going up the next size especially if you have to wear

I ordered two of these polo shirts. One is 7/8 and the other 10/12. The 10/12 was about the right size, but the 7/8 was more like a 5/6. My daughter will probably get a skinny top from this and it will probably look like a crop top after washing. Here is a photo of two t-shirts and a boy, let me tell you there is a big difference between them. I don't think I will be returning the shirt as it would be a waste of time and money. But this is just to warn others that you may receive a product here

Do not order one size larger. As stated in the description, this is a slimmer cut. I ordered after reading the reviews and it was too big. My daughter is 10/12 and 50th percentile for height and weight. BUT I ordered based on reviews before 14/16 and dress modestly. No wonder the shirt is too big. Shoulder seams run halfway to the shoulder. SO. I came back for a 10/12 which is her normal size and fits her shoulder and is a reasonable length for tucking in her pants to school. The quality is ok.
