I needed new shorts for my giraffe son. Long thin legs without buttocks and hips. I knew I would need the length sooner rather than later and was hoping to use it in the fall and spring. Like many pants, I spend most of my mom's precious time sewing pants for back to school and then releasing the hem for the second half. I was so excited when my 10 year old 57 inch son put them on and said "they are good". Mom took the time to read another chapter before bed.

My son is a member of the North American Explorers Federation Boy Scout movement who wears navy blue shorts as part of their uniform. These shorts wash well (do not pill), wear well (do not rip etc. when camping or playing) and he says they are very comfortable, especially when he is putting things in his pockets. He says he can't feel a knife, compass, or snack in his pocket. Enough space to grow, so replace only once a year despite growth.
