Not perfect, but not bad either.

Not the best end product but what you would expect for less than $20. The curve incorporated into the frame was not incorporated on one side, so not symmetrical, but I was struck by the ingenuity of the design. Each piece bolts together easily and is more than strong enough for its purpose if not abused. Also, a few drops of Elmer's wood glue on the leg dowels before screwing them on will make the legs that much stronger. It actually looks pretty stylish from afar. I'm satisfied and wouldโ€ฆ

It was terrible. Three parts of the legs not even.

It was terrible. The three parts of the legs are not even trimmed to fit snugly against the main trunk. .but hey, it doesn't matter because the screws you get aren't even long enough to screw them on. They barely go through the first piece of wood. so how can they screw into each other? Answer: They can't and they don't. I always reinforce with wood glue, but it can't hold things together that aren't in full contact. It cannot stand. When I wanted my things to be on the floor. I would put themโ€ฆ

ULTIMATE STRENGTH, ULTIMATE QUALITY

STRENGTH: This is a lightweight stand that won't last long if you use it for multiple medium to heavy shifts. The weak link is how the legs are attached. They slide in a dovetail like grooves. The grooves aren't deep enough, the fit is too loose, and the wood isn't strong enough to support the heavy weight. I don't know the type of wood, but it's definitely not hardwood. The grooves in the B-pillar broke on two legs and continued to break after gluing. Not enough available surface for aโ€ฆ

You get what you pay for

I bought this hanger a few months ago to keep my coat close to my front door at home. This hanger has served me well, but there are three reasons I would not recommend purchasing this hanger. 1) Poor quality wood. My hanger has a few spots where the wood has been visibly sanded before finishing. 2) It comes in several parts. The main pole consists of three parts, the legs are not included and you also need to attach the hooks yourself. This isn't necessarily a reason not to buy it individually,

  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Going old

The foot assembly does not work and is a waste of time; UPDATED

Wood as in the photo, very nice. The shaft is assembled by connecting three segments and three legs need to be attached to the bottom segment. Here's the catch. Each leg is believed to be connected to the bottom bar by two connections: 1. a screw on the underside that goes into the bar, and 2. a dowel that goes into a pre-drilled hole on the bar. The screw doesn't fit well in the small hole on the shank, so the fool isn't attached. The dowel doesn't make a proper connection either. So these two

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • No instructions

This hanger is of pretty decent quality, looks good and seems to work well. Haven't tried winter coats on it yet, but heavy hoodies, a full wallet, binoculars, hats, etc. work well. My problem was the packaging and assembly. There was so much tape on the box that the very flimsy instructions stuck to the bottom of the box and peeled off as an unreadable piece. One of the base pieces didn't fit into the other because the wood wasn't scored properly. Rather than attempting to return it (the boxโ€ฆ
