All these people are complaining that their avocado is still going bad: stop it. Just stop. Nothing prevents them from oxidizing a little, this is a natural process and happens when they come into contact with air. If you don't send your avocado into space, chances are it will turn brown. It's a great alternative to plastic bags, which is why I bought it. Just eat your avocado the next day or two (it might be a little brown, but still good) and look at the bright side: you're minimizing waste.

Anyone who uses an avocado on a regular basis knows that the flesh is too soft to remove the pit from the unused half. So if the intact remaining half is to be preserved, there must be enough space in the dome to accommodate the core.
