🔪 Precision at Its Finest: Freud 44 102 - Diameter 3 Flute Trimming Tool Review

I use this bit to make many of the same parts by first making a template and then following the template using this bit to cut multiple exact copies of the template. It really speeds up production. I also attach the pattern to a piece of plexiglass so it's safer to cut out the pieces. It was a great addition to my router.

Great cut from Freud as always but the finish looks like it was applied with a brush and came out of the box with blisters and chips. The infamous rubber sleeve that appears to be stuck to the forearm is easily removed by making a cut across and along the forearm with the blade. Do not try to pull on the cutting head or you risk an awkward cut. You will not keep this bag for storage, just keep your hands off it!

I used this item to cut the Adirondack chair parts to fit the template. The router worked very well, although I haven't built/bought a router table yet and did the routering manually with clamps. Meets this need perfectly and for the price cannot be found in any major store with comparable bits. I did NOT receive this item at a reduced/free price to unfairly support the positive reviews.
