Description of πͺ Freud Double Flute Straight Cutter 04 100: Precision and Performance in Cutting
Cuts all composite materials, plywoods, hardwoods, and softwoods. Use on CNC and other automatic routers as well as hand-held and table-mounted portable routers.
This cutter is ideal for engraving. I've used it on several types of wood and it does a decent job. My only complaint is that with hardwood you have to work very slowly to avoid chipping the sides or small burrs in the channels. Anyway, this is one of my new favorite tools.

I am proud to say that I will be a Freud customer for life and will always look for Freud bits as my first choice only if they don't have a product for my application.
As at least one other review states, this thing will try to kill you instantly. lair.Me: I will be very careful removing this thing as I already know someone else bled to death before me. Bit: You won't be careful and I'll bleed you dry in the first 15 seconds. A bloody tissue later, I took this thing out of its case. The next day I used it to cut a few grooves in 1/2 birch plywood and it went through with no problems, no cracks or tears. Before that I always bought Bosch and I think I canβ¦
