Description of 🪓 Freud PB 0035 16 Inch Precision Forester: Superior Accuracy and Performance for Professional Tree Cutting
Hardened Steel Body - warrants a longer life and sharper cutting edge. Ultra Sharp Spur - ensures an accurate hole and resists “walking” on material. Steep Angled Cutting Edges - produce holes that are smooth and flat and create “chisel-like "curls for fast, clean chip removal. Quality Forged Construction - instead of casting, strengthens bits for extended life.
Looks like a well made quality product. The cutting edge is clean and sharp with a serrated edge. I ordered a different size Steelex bit and I regret it. The Steelex has broken and chipped off the cutting edge, the cutting edge is dull, just looks crap. Spend a few dollars more and buy a Freud.
Pros
Ultra Sharp Spur - Provides a precise hole and eliminates 'walking' on stock
Sharp! And exactly! just what i needed. Too many other competitor tips fall short of Freud's standards of quality and precision. Dimensional tolerance is within 0.001 inch, which is tighter than you would normally expect from wood drill bits. Quickly punches holes in even the toughest maple or walnut wood.
Pros
Sharp cutting edges - make holes smooth and flat and create chisel curls for quick, clean chip removal
Make sure the piece of wood is braced as the drill is very aggressive. They will not give it there, they will drill or take a piece of wood with them. Protect your hands when drilling and be very careful when holding the workpiece with your hands. The result is very good with a beautiful perforated bottom. Four stars for aggressiveness.
Pros
Quality forged construction - instead of casting, reinforces the drill for longer life
