Description of 🌲 Enhance Your Precision Forestry with Freud Pb M35 35mm Precision Forester

Hardened Steel Body - warrants a longer life and sharper cutting edge. Ultra Sharp Spur - ensures an accurate hole and resists “walking” on material. Steep Angled Cutting Edges - produce holes that are smooth and flat and create “chisel-like "curls for fast, clean chip removal. Quality Forged Construction - instead of casting, strengthens bits for extended life.

Excellent drill for hinges and other holes

The serrated edges of this drill really leave a very clean hole. I don't have a Fisch bit to compare but having used a Freud bit I can tell you that I will not be replacing it with any other brand or model. The diameter of the hole is just right for a 35mm Euroloop and the pilot point doesn't protrude too far from the bottom of the hole.

Pros
  • Forstner Bit
Cons
  • Requires socket

Not suitable for my purpose.

I have purchased a number of Freud tools over the years and have always been satisfied with their quality. This fragment cuts very well, and at first I was pleased with the hit. However, I have used it to install hinges on some thin cabinet doors. As another reviewer surmised, the spur protruded far enough to pierce the board to the desired depth. Point. I ended up sharpening the spur down; but it destroyed his ability to stay focused; but I was able to finish the work. Don't get me wrong, this

I personally think Freud Forestner bits are the best. The result is the flattest bottom and smoothing hole with minimal tear. They also stay sharp much longer than other Forestner bits I've used in the past. For this reason I have a full range of standard Freud Forestner bits in sizes 1/4" to 2". The only bit I didn't have was the Forestner bit, which is probably what I use most, and it's a 35mm bit. I've had a couple of other brands of 35mm Forstner bits that came with the concealed hinge…
