Would give 5 stars. But this unit usually has its own opinion. I set the temperature to 72. After 30 minutes it hits 85 and shuts off. I would not recommend this device.

Unit works well but is very noisy. I bought it to replace an old LG device in the living room of my apartment. Friedrich talks about his whisper-quiet compressor technology. It's like standing next to an idling cement truck. I have to turn it off to watch TV. Wouldn't buy it again for this reason

Cools very well. Cooling is excellent. Only experienced 90 degree days from remote suckers. There is no backlight, the modes on the block are highlighted. Apple iPhone is stupid. I don't care about the noise, silence is not a problem for me. Like the sound. Will review more after we hit 100 plus. A 10,000 BTU unit is perfect for my 800 square foot apartment. feet

This air conditioner does not work as advertised. For the price, it should be outstanding, but it isn't. The remote control only works for some functions. This will not work as the remote needs to work to control the temperature and power throughout the room. It's a bit noisy and uses a lot of power, but that's to be expected.

Device cools well but won't connect to WiFi. I called Friedrich support and after 20 minutes of waiting, followed the menu instructions for Wi-Fi connection issues. My call was answered by someone who said they couldn't help me and that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. I'm still waiting.

This air conditioner is great and fully capable of cooling my home quickly and efficiently. The remote control and app work flawlessly and are easy to use. The only thing I complain about is the noise level. For a layman, I would have wished for a few more modes. Low frequencies are still very powerful and loud. It's not critical, but they're loud enough that I had to change my original position.

UPDATE: Just over a year old and only used 2 times this season. I hear a loud bang. I look and one of the fan blades is broken! GREAT. Now I need to buy a brand new air conditioner as parts stores don't have a model number to replace the fan. i am disgusted The board is a bit iffy. LOVE LOVE LOVE WiFi function and phone app. Good product. I always love Frederick.

I have Friedrich air conditioners in all my rooms. This is the first 'smart' air conditioner and I'm surprised there is a bug in their software. Whenever I manually turn on the AC and then want to turn off the display (LEDs), I have to use the remote control and every time I press the display button, the fan goes on high.
