My problem solved! suitable for spare parts and accessories

If frost has formed inside the freezer, this is probably the solution. I was a little suspicious of the cause of the frost in my freezer because the existing gasket looked fine and seemed to seal when the door was closed. After several months of removing frost from the inside of the door, I decided to buy this seal - cheaper than calling customer service! The seal was perfect and solved the problem immediately. BEST TIP: Watch an independent installation video on Youtube before you start. There

Absolutely Perfect - Freezer Parts and Accessories

04/30/2020 Out of the box the gasket was bent and crumpled - I laid it flat and heated the heat gun on low. I wasn't trying to get the whole curve at once, just "nourished" along the section, warmed it up, trying not to overheat, moved and adjusted, and let it cool while I worked on another section. I worked with him for a while, then left and came back later. Once satisfied (it wasn't perfect) I installed it on the freezer. With the door closed I could see 2 small areas that were not ideal. I…

    No really, follow all instructions

The product really works like a charm. After enlightening myself and following all the instructions. I watched a YouTube video on how to replace the gasket. I hung it on the door and then ignored the part about heating it up with a hair dryer. The door didn't close at all. I gave up and told my wife to call a mechanic and have it replaced. total defeat. Luckily she called a man who was busy and honest. He explained how to heat the seal with a hair dryer and then tape the door tightly shut for…

New door seal Worse than the original which was 20 years old

Follow the installation instructions online as no detailed instructions came with the product. After installing the door seal, I noticed that the door seal had worse gaps than my old 20-year-old seal. I tried using a hair dryer as suggested, but the cutouts in the door seal didn't move. After installing this new freezer door seal, I had more leaks than the old one. I ended up stuffing paper towels into the gasket (from the inside) where there was an indentation (about 15 to 20 spots around the…

Here's what I did to successfully install it.

Just installed today and it seems sealed well and working great so far! (If I want to add any other relevant comments later, I will.) Here's what I did for a successful install: 1. I took it out of the box, put it on the floor, used a blow dryer on the stains, and twisted it . , so all the pieces were pointing in the same direction, and it was a rectangle. It wasn't perfect at the time, but better than when it came out of the box. 2. Removed the old one (I had to loosen a few screws on my…

    I saved hundreds of $$$ - it's worth it!

I bought my giant freezer in 2012 for over $1000 and I bought it used. After some research I found out that my chest freezer was manufactured in 2006 and isn't even manufactured anymore. Over the last year a lot of ice has built up on the top shelf of my freezer and everything in the door is thawing. I've lost so many products because of this. I have three teenagers and a husband to feed, so food is too expensive (and hard to find!) to keep wasting. My fridge/freezer at home just isn't big…
